We acquired Ariel in the fall of 2001 with Pearl. Ariel looks like a
leader sheep but not sure she is one. However, she is the BEST mother
we have had ever on the ranch. She lambs on her own, away from
everything and won't even come to flock at feeding for several days. I
have to bring food to her. She is flighty but her babies gain and are
not as leery. |

Pearl is one of 2 purebred foundation ewes we bought as a ewe lamb in
2001. She is small but raises dandy babies. She has delivered 7+ lb.
purebred twins and 7.5 - 10 lb. Karakul/Icelandic hybrids all on her
own. She carries a large tight udder great for milking. Was very
flighty but tamed down to an angel. |
